Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (RSMS 187) Permanent Visa

This visa requires the applicant to have a job offer from a regional area in Australia. The position must be approved by a Regional Certifying Body. The skill level criteria for an RSMS visa can be lower than that of an Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) visa. This is a permanent visa however the applicant is required to work in the position for two years.

Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS 186) Permanent Visa

This visa is a permanent visa for skilled work applicants from overseas or skilled temporary residents who currently live and work in Australia. The sponsor needs to meet sponsorship and nomination requirements that are the same as for Temporary work skilled 457 visas. This visa is a two- step process involving a nomination and application under the nominated stream. There are three nominated streams under this scheme.

Temporary Business Sponsorship (subclass 457) Visa

This visa is used by Australian Businesses to sponsor skilled workers to address local skill shortages in the short-medium term. This is a temporary visa that allows an applicant to live and work in Australia for up to 4 years. The business is required to meet stringent requirements before being approved to sponsor foreign workers. The visa holder is required to work only for the employer that sponsored them and only work in the nominated position.
